The Anson County Arts Council
The Anson County Arts Council is at the creative heart of our community. Nestled in Uptown Wadesboro, The ACAC supports thriving arts programs, workshops and productions.
The ACAC was founded in 1978. Our mission is to enrich the cultural lives of ALL the people of Anson County by nurturing and supporting excellence in the arts, promoting, presenting and encouraging educational activities, and increasing the community’s overall awareness and appreciation for the arts.
Thank you for being here and for #keepingwadesborocreative.
Executive Director Scarlett Tolley
Although not a native Ansonian, Scarlett has lived and enjoyed her entire adult life in the area and calls Anson County her “home”. It’s where she and her husband have built their home, started their business, and raised their daughter.
With her background in healthcare, she understands the power of human connection and has found a passion in inspiring and uplifting people of all ages and walks of life through the transformative nature of the arts. She has witnessed the positive impact that the arts and theater community had on her own daughter, by building her confidence and skill.
“I want to give others the ability to experience the arts. This space has been a cultural cornerstone of the community for 100 years, and it’s my mission to ensure that it continues to grow, evolve, and serve our community in fresh and meaningful ways.”
